Daniel Stringer
Position:
Alumnus
Description:
Daniel is passionate about helping people through education and social reform, and helping people enjoy their lives by building community, being active, and experiencing art. As a PhD candidate in Stanford University's Learning Sciences and Technology Design program, Daniel uses social science principles to build technology for social justice, specifically:
- researching assumptions that people have about who creates the web, and how those assumptions effect people's online activity.
- developing an agenda for creating technology that non-elites can take advantage of from the beginning.
- advising organizations on how they can develop and use educational technology.
One of Daniel's current projects is Cognition of Construction.
