July Gomes is a Visiting Research at Transformative Learning Technology Lab at Stanford Graduate School of Education and her work is focused in understand how psychophysiological changes affects learning process. Currently, she is looking for a better understand about learning process of high school students on building activities related with engineering and constructionist thinking. More specifically, she wants to understand how different instructions can affect engagement and self-perceived competence related with construction tasks, using psychophysiological and eye tracking measures.

Her BA is in Psychology and her Master’s degree is in Psychosocial Process, Health and Psychological Development, both from the Federal University of Santa Catarina. She is a co-founder of Sina-Psi: Serviço Integrado de Neurociência Aplicada e Psicologia (Integrated Service of Applied Neuroscience and Psychology), which was awarded with Prime: Primeira Empresa Inovadora (First Innovative Bussiness) from Finep (Financier of Studies and Projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology from Brazil) to entrepreneurs with the most innovative business plan. She is also co-author of ProA cognitive assessment software. Her research interest is in brain education and technologies and also on the development of innovation and technology for educational and health fields.
